Season Of Change

Season Of Change

Before (Zion) travailed, she gave birth; before her pain came upon her, she was delivered of a male child. Who has heard of such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Or shall of nation be brought forth in a moment? For as soon as Zion was in labor, she brought forth her children. Shall I bring to the (moment of) birth and not cause to bring forth? says the Lord. Shall I Who causes to bring forth shut the womb? says your God.” Isaiah 66:7-9

Challenges and Obstacles

We must realize that in this life that we live here on earth there will be challenges and obstacles that come our way; a travailing (toiling) often takes place. The good news is, the Bible says it’s only for a season! In knowing this, whatever area that we have been contending and believing God for a breakthrough in: there must be a manifestation. Whenever there is a travailing, there must be a delivery! God hasn’t brought us this far to take us back again! I am a mother of four beautiful children. And in preparing for each of their births, I knew that all of my laboring and toiling was not in vain. I was in full expectation that after nine months of successfully carrying them I would deliver. Can a baby be conceived and born all in one day? Can seedlings be planted in the ground and harvested the next day? No. There is a gestation period by which they must develop and mature. So, it is the same in the spirit realm. The dreams that we may have in our hearts take time to grow and develop and mature into something beautiful. We can be confident in knowing that in those times of toiling and hard work, our dreams will become a reality if we have the strength to hold on and to see them through.

Remain Strong and Vigilant

Imagine with me, if all the pregnant women in the world held onto their births, and were unable to deliver because they were too tired to see the process to its expected end. What a sorry picture that would be! The Bible actually speaks about this in Isaiah 37:3: “This day is a day of trouble and distress and of rebuke and of disgrace; for children have come to the birth, and there is no strength to bring them forth.” I felt such an impression in my spirit in reading these passages. I believe that God is encouraging us to remain strong and vigilant; contending for the dreams that are close to our hearts, and He will strengthen us and enable us to see those things through from beginning to end. “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9 Let us not lose heart in acting nobly and doing what is right. The Bible says that in due time and at the appointed season there will be a delivery, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.

There Will Be A Reaping

To “faint” simply means to pass out spiritually. It’s so important that we hang in there; hang on until we see a tangible breakthrough. You see, many people are earnestly awaiting the manifestation of the sons of God: waiting for your dream to come to pass (Romans 8:19). A baby isn’t born to suffice itself alone. When a child comes into the world, he/she brings so much joy and fulfillment to extended family and friends around them. We must realize that this life we live is not for ourselves alone. Our breakthrough is someone else’s breakthrough! This is why we must see our dreams to full term, not only for ourselves, but also for the joy and pleasure of lifting other people. Just think of how God must feel, knowing that He has deposited everything within us that is needed to carry out our God-given assignment, and yet we grow weary and wane in strength; unable to see the task through. The impact and the power that would have been dispensed upon the birth of the dream, now becomes cut short. I pray this year that your God-given dreams would be sustained by the strength and the ability of the Lord and that after many seasons of sowing, there will be a reaping. I encourage you again, that where there is a travailing, there must be a delivery! Pastor Tracy Weekes
